The Vienna Nightrow is a sprint rowing regatta over 350 meters which will be held on the "Neue Donau" in Vienna. The final race will be held in the dark on an illuminated by the headlights of course. There are three runways available. The regatta will be started from a start raft with traffic light start.
Lighting is provided by mobile floodlights and with luminous bodies buoys. The boats are also illuminated. In addition, teams can illuminate themself.
The invitation is national and international.
Following categories will start: junior women´s eight, junior men´s eight, women´s eight, men´s eight, mixed eight, university eight.
A covered grandstand is located below the target tower. A live commentators team will give information on the course of the race, the teams and the rowing general. Before, after and during the race, music, food and drinks are offered.
After the race there will be an award ceremony and an after-race party. At the award ceremony, not only the fastest teams of each category will be awarded. Also the best and most original illuminated cox and the best or most original illuminated boat will be awarded.

The Vienna Nightrow offers viewers plenty of opportunities to experience rowing up close. Whether from the shore, in the stands or along the race course can follow the race perfectly.
Who wants to experience the start as close as possible can do this from the promenade. Who wants to cheer on the teams in the final sprint and watch the finish exactly the stands are the perfect position.

In the finishing area there will be the chance to satisfy hunger and thirst.Everybody - whether rower or spectator - is a welcome guest, and is welcome to strengthen in a relaxed atmosphere at the summer barbecue to follow the race with a cool drink or simply at coffee and cake.
And maybe somebody wants cheer his or her team in the floodlit final run with a bottle of champagne.
